I was born in Germany as my dad was in the military. We moved back to Calgary after I was born (my Mom was a native Calgarian). We moved back to Germany (Heidelberg) from ages 5-10, then back here to Calgary. I went to the University of Wyoming for my Dental Hygiene Degree, and then moved back to Calgary to start my career. In 2000 to 2001 I moved to New Zealand (Christchurch) and worked as a dental hygienist while also traveling NZ and AUZ. I then moved back to Calgary.
My focus when working with patients is education. I think it’s really important that people understand what’s going on in their mouth, disease wise, and then to have the tools to deal with it and how to use them properly. I’m a huge advocate of the Oral-B power toothbrush, and I think every age and person can benefit from it.
What I want most for my patient’s is a healthy mouth especially when they are putting in the time, energy and effort I want them to reap the rewards of all that.
Fun fact about myself, I used to do silversmithing.
